Recess Beam Design
The Recess Beam Design functionality in the PRE-Stress software is in accordance with the methodology presented in the book by Dr. Kim Elliot (2016) ‘Precast Concrete Structures‘.
It is possible to design the recesses in the ends of a prestressed concrete beam after a successful code control. The beam itself must be designed prior to the design of the end-recesses, since the design process is dependent on the design values for the concrete material.
