StruSoft are delighted to welcome and introduce our newest BIM Energy Team member, Max Hammarfjord, Business Development Manager for Sweden.
We asked Max some questions so you can get to know him a little better.
Can you tell us a little about your background and previous work experience?
My educational background is in Chemical Engineering. My main interest was energy transfer and material science, both of which I had use of in my previous position as Business Engineer for a global heat exchanger manufacturer.
What led you to join BIM Energy?
I saw an opportunity to be a part of an exciting journey where I can combine my commercial and technical experience with my interest in energy efficiency.
What do you believe you will bring to the company in this new role?
My technical background in HVAC will be useful to understand certain difficulties that our customers face. Also, my commercial experience from a global industry could offer a different view of the local market.
Can you share with us your first impressions of BIM Energy?
Overall, I am truly enjoying my first time here. The level of openness and excitement that I have been met with every day is amazing. As for the software, I am impressed with how easy it is to use whilst being such a powerful tool. I am excited to get more people to experience it first-hand.
What do you think will be the biggest challenge in this new role and how do you plan to overcome it?
My biggest challenge might be to get an understanding of what different needs our customers have. I am currently reaching out individually to many of our customers to get a better understanding on their problems and how we can help solving them.
How do you see yourself contributing to the growth and success of BIM Energy?
My goal is to draw from my previous experience in technical sales to accelerate our sales in the long term.
Can you share exciting, interesting projects or initiatives you’re working on?
Right now, we are working on finalising an additional concept within BIM Energy that will be tailored towards the existing property market.
What do you see as the future of the energy industry and BIM Energy’s role in it?
The industry is focusing heavily on energy efficiency. However, there are some gaps in assessing the best course of action. That’s where BIM Energy comes in.
Can you share with us any personal interests or hobbies that you have outside of work?
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen as cooking and brewing are two hobbies of mine. I also have a keen interest in stock investing and company valuations. But most of my time off work I spend together with my wife and daughters.
What message would you like to convey to the readers of this blog post?
Investing in knowledge is never a waste. If you are renovating on a budget, then prioritizing is key. Before swapping out the old windows for newer ones, it might make sense to spend 15 minutes evaluating the most energy-, and cost-efficient steps to take.
We’re excited to have you in our Team, Max, we are looking forward to seeing what you will accomplish. Congratulations and welcome aboard!
